We had lunch here and the 3 course lunch for 17 was delicious. You got a choice of about 20 dishes to choose from. I had the chicken chow mein, spicy vegetable statay and deep fried prawns. Yummy! We came back again and I had the Shrimp Wor Won Ton soup and it was delicious.
I had a craving for ginger beef, and Fan Tan Cafe was the perfect place. They had some awesome specials but tonight I was having ginger beef. The cafe has a very cool vibe, much cozier than the typical Chinese restaurant. It's a cafe, people! Muted colors, curated abstract paintings, and the low background music - a little bit jazzy, nice listening, good covers by well-known artists. It was like being in a European cafe that happens to serve Chinese food. Wonderful! The owner is an excellent host and conversationalist. And the ginger beef was splendid! Lots of beef and veg. Enough for two meals, so I'm saving the rest for tomorrow. Very cool place.
Always love trying new chinese places! after trying for the first time we just had to get it again the next night hehe! Everything was great especially the sweet and sour pork, beef and broccoli, and every other combo option we tried! great portion sizes, flavour, and sauciness!
Food was great! Won ton is like no other. The veggie noodles are delicious. Not a fan of the eggroll but the fried rice hit the spot. Staff was nice and on top of it. I definitely recommend!
I loved this place!!! I wanted won ton soup and I got one better!! War won ton soup!! Everything was fresh and tasty! It delivered! 40 years in business and I can see why. I will definitely be back on this or future trips!
We had their famous wonton soup. I should have ordered a smaller one. I also had their Shanghai noodles, and deep fried won tons. There was much to much for one meal. I took half home and it still delicious heated up hours later.
Food was amazing! The wonton soup was the best I've ever had. The vegetables were fresh. The owner was so nice, friendly and attentive. Great service! Loved the atmosphere, restaurant was clean and comfortable seating. Definitely will be going back!
I couldn’t believe that there is still 12.95 for wonton and noodles soup in this decade, so fulfilling and tasty. The atmosphere and music are so nice. The owner is so friendly. I’ll come back for sure
